The strategies applied by teachers in teaching speaking

The teaching of English is very important for young learners in the era industry 4.0. A successful teacher largely determined by strategies he/she uses learning process. students SMP Negeri 1 Sabang were interested speaking English. They had won many events competitions and mostly reached a good score on test. This research was conducted to find out used, problems, solutions faced teachers during process at Kota Sabang. method this study descriptive qualitative employing observation interview guide sheets as instruments. participants three results show that used various kinds speaking; role-play, picture describing, interview, simulations. It also found there five obstacles process; some disturb their friends, ignore process, bully lack vocabulary, possess limited duration. solving problems use four approaches solve problems: maximized student's centered, motivated deeply sustainably, provided new extra time online. suggested should always ideas, strategies, or techniques teaching-learning so are taking part actively
